OH DAM!!! Special Announcement!

Seven Oaks Dam Climb added to 2019 Strada Rossa
For a long time this climb has been teasing local riders with no hope of ever conquering this beast. Well that all changes NOW! IEBA has secured the use of this virgin climb for for #stradarossa. Today 5 souls took advantage of scoping out it's potential and, with enthusiasm, said put this in our March 2nd event. This will be the ONLY time it's open to the public and for the 64 and 100 mile routes.
Make sure you get the chance to make Strava history. Registration opens Jan 1st.
THIS ROCKS!!!!!

DATE CHANGE: MARCH 2nd, 2019

We apologize if any of you made plans for the 16th. We had to change to the 2nd in order to avoid holding the RSR on the same date as the Redlands Classic's downtown community and professional crit races.

That would be bad.

So plan on being here on the second, and coming back on the 16th as well!!!

Smiley Blvd Detour

Route update: Please do not climb Smiley Blvd on the 90 mile route. Instead take San Timoteo east to Redlands Blvd. Climb that road, and turn right (west) onto Locust in Moreno Valley. We apologize for this last minute/mid-ride change.

66 mile ride @ 8:00am ( garmin / google maps / turn sheet )
33 mile ride @ 9:00am ( garmin / google maps / turn sheet )

To streamline registration, we will also be distributing wristbands on Friday 3/16 at Stell Coffee from 6-8pm. Late registration is available both Friday and Saturday for $50, but this does not include the meal at the afterparty.

On Saturday morning the ride will stage from BikeBBQ in downtown RedlandsIf you can't ride to the rideplease utilize the overflow parking at theRedlands Mall a few hundred feet down the road.

turn sheets will be posted on the registration site (and here) by 6:00pm on 3/16 in a format accessible on mobile phones. if you'd like a paper copy, please plan on printing it out yourself at home.

The ride finish and afterparty will be held ~two miles up the hill at 1027 S San Mateo St 92373. Your wristband entitles you to as much mexican food as you can eat and thanks to Aventon Bikes and Ritual you can also play a game and win a free pint glass and beer. Please bring cash (or a card) to purchase a limited edition print, 'vintage' RSR t-shirt and/or additional beverages.

Strada Rossa is not a race. You'll be sharing the road with vehicles and you must yield to trail users on foot and horseback. Do not deviate from the marked trails, even to avoid mud. Dismount from your bike if you encounter any hazards. You are likely to encounter bees as well, so be prepared for a real adventure.

Please extend the utmost courtesy to everyone you see on Saturday and represent the cycling community in a positive light. In the event of an emergency on the course, please dial (909) 747-9697.

Our thanks go out to our sponsors, partners and a tireless volunteer crew.

Overview of Routes

This Google map showing all three routes superimposed over each other may help riders see how and where the different routes add on mileage. A good thing to keep in mind if you're making a last minute change of plans based on fitness or time.

It is subject to change, and does not include route slips/turn by turn.

Like Riding & Eating for Free? Volunteers Sought!!!!

Redlands Strada Rossa is a fundraiser run by the Inland Empire Biking Alliance. It is staffed, planned, and manned by volunteers who love riding bikes and want to promote the open spaces and trails of the Inland Empire! If you or someone you love falls into either of those categories, we can use help with all aspects of the RSR.

-->A comped registration/meal/beverage is in it for you as our way of thanking you!<--

We need help with:

  • Registration (evening before, and morning of)
  • Route marking on Friday the 16th. This is the big one!!!
  • Food prep day before and day of.
  • Setting up for the party on Saturday morning.
  • Take-down/clean up after the party Saturday evening.
Pretty straightforward. The route marking is going to be a lot of work, and we need the most people for that on Friday.

To volunteer, or just get more information, please contact Cesar at the IEBA:

Registration is open for 35 mile, 66 mile, and 100-mile rides.  Extra meal tickets available.  https://www.bikereg.com/strada-rossa-v

Redlands Strada Rossa 2018 Registration Now Open!

Beginning January first, you can register for the 2018 RSR V at https://www.bikereg.com/strada-rossa-v

The process should be very straightforward and streamlined. There is a single price of $50 that will increase to $70 two weeks (approx) before the ride. We chose to have the single price as majority of riders choose the 100km route, with an equal distribution of riders choosing the 100 mile and 50km routes. Those two average out with the 100km people, so why not just have one price!

There is a $20 food only option if you have friends & family that want to join you at the finish. That includes the meal, as well as a beer ticket (local beer, and plenty of it on hand!).

If you really want to ride RSR, and you should, but don't have the cash, drop us a line... we have options! We would rather have you out here riding with us than staying at home!!!
